Personal History from Jordan Reesor’s perspective.
It all started when Jordan Reesor, who founded Saturn Messenger, was inspired by his hometown of Spring Hill in Tennessee. In Spring Hill, there are landmarks of the old Saturn Factory. In fact, he has owned two Saturn SL2 Sedans. He got the idea for the “messenger” by reading the Sewanee Messenger. He bought the domain name from Bluehost. He designed the website in WordPress.
Motives:
Jordan Reesor wanted to be different than traditional media. Traditional media can sometimes focus on sensational aspects and profit-driven motives. Often seen as slow to adapt. Saturn Messenger is meant to stand out as authentic, reflective, and user-centered.
Saturn Messenger wanted to experiment with content, engagement, and platform features in ways traditional media can’t.
Saturn Messenger is intentional and mission-driven.
Saturn Messenger is not just a news aggregator, it is a platform designed to train mindfulness in media.
